Sam has been involved in a wide range of art and design since graduating in Fine Art from the National Gallery School (Victoria). After many years running his own design studio and teaching graphics and printmaking at QUT and TAFE, Sam’s focus is now on his printmaking practice. In 2012 Sam visited Japan and studied Japanese woodblock techniques (Mokuhanga) with Richard Steiner in Kyoto. A solo Japanese inspired show in Byron Bay followed a year later. Sam has recently developed his lithographic printmaking moving from stone to “Wood Lithography” – Mokulito.
